Carroll Gardens

Carroll Gardens is one of the main neighborhoods located in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. The name refers to the block of playgrounds and walkways accessible to the public. The surrounding neighborhood was home to immigrants from various countries in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and still offers a unique cultural experience today with Italian, French and Norwegian influences. Residents are a lively mix of both working class and professional, young and old. A variety of bistros and boutiques are located throughout the neighborhood, providing plenty to explore. The oldest section of Carroll Gardens holds the famous brownstones with front and back gardens. These homes offer a unique take on city living with beautiful, personal gardens just steps away from the sidewalk and street.
