Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton

Hell’s Kitchen, also referred to as Clinton and Midtown West, is a neighborhood of Manhattan located between 34th Street and 59th Street, from 8th Avenue to the Hudson River. Once a rough and tumble kind of neighborhood (and the basis for Westside Story), it has developed considerably over the past three decades. On the edge of the theater district and encompassing numerous theater houses of its own, the area has long been a home to actors learning and practicing their craft. Hell’s Kitchen also features fantastic casual restaurants and shopping.

Currently, Hell’s Kitchen is undergoing a real-estate building boom that includes new skyscrapers, hotels and apartment complexes. This wave of new expansions will blend the old with the new as established families and actors continue to live in the rustic high-rises and apartments that exemplify the history and culture of Hell’s Kitchen.
