Tribeca

The Tribeca (or TriBeCa) neighborhood is located in the heart of Lower Manhattan. Named for being the “Triangle Below Canal Street,” TriBeCa was one of the first New York City residential areas of the 19th century. The neighborhood contains a variety of landmarks and attractions, including the Metropolitan College of New York, New York Law School, Washington Market Park, Hudson River Park, and the Holland Tunnel which connects New York City to New Jersey. Tribeca is also home to the annual Tribeca film festival, which celebrates New York City as a hub for film-making and features many independent films. Famous neighborhood residents include athelete Derek Jeter, and actors Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
